Your workspace, explained

What a workspace is in BusinessCopilot and how it relates to your business.

One business, one workspace

When you sign up for BusinessCopilot, you create a workspace. Your workspace is your business — its name, its branches, its staff, its products, its sales, and everything else you record lives inside it.

You'll never need to think about "which workspace am I in" day to day — you're always in the one workspace you created (or were invited into). Everything you and your team do in BusinessCopilot happens inside that one shared space, so a sale your cashier records this morning is the same sale your accountant sees this afternoon.

What lives in your workspace

Everything: your branches, your team and their roles, your products and stock, your customers, your sales history, your accounting records, and your subscription. Nothing is shared between workspaces — another business using BusinessCopilot has their own completely separate workspace, with no visibility into yours and no way for anyone in yours to see theirs.

Who's in charge

The person who signs up becomes the Owner — the one role with full access to everything, including the workspace's subscription and billing. The Owner decides who else joins and what they're allowed to do; see Roles & what your team can see.
