Other accounting reports
A few more real reports available under Accounting, briefly.
Beyond the statements and reconciliations covered elsewhere in this Guide, a few more real reports live under Accounting:
- Comparative Financials — Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet figures side by side against another period: last period, or the same period last year.
- Budget vs Actual — your budgeted figures against the real posted amount in each budget's mapped expense account.
- Income Segmentation / Expense Segmentation — your revenue or spending broken down by category.
- Inventory Valuation Reconciliation — the seventh subledger-to-GL check, alongside the six covered in Reconciliation & Accounting Integrity Exceptions: your stock's real value against the Inventory account.
- Customer Statements / Supplier Statements — a running balance for one customer or supplier, built from their posted activity, in a form you could hand directly to them.
Each is reachable from the Accounting section of the sidebar and follows the same pattern as the rest of this Guide — pick a range, review the figures, and drill into the General Ledger for the detail behind any of them.
Customer and supplier statements
The Customer Statements and Supplier Statements reports show a running balance for one party. They are built directly from the sales, payments, and returns recorded for that party, so they match what you see on the sale and purchase records.
Moving between accounting reports
Selecting an account on Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, or Trial Balance opens the General Ledger for that account, with a Back link to the report you came from. On Receivables and Payables, selecting a party opens its statement with a back link. See Moving between reports.
